In 2005 LMHA was awarded funding from the Liverpool Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Partnership to develop a children and young people's mental health promotion service.

The aims of this service:

• delivering training for practitioners who work with children and young people across Liverpool

• Mental Health Grant Scheme awards for children and young people

• providing information for children, young people, parents, carers and professionals.

We have provided information on the following areas:

• an introduction to emotional literacy

• directory of children's services

• an interactive web site on the
  United Nations Convention
  on the Rights of the Child

• an introduction to child-centred services for professionals.
